There are lots of reasons for this, and to touch on some ġ-The 2 versions use different plugin architecture, so with both on a single drive, its going to get bloated with lots of semi-useless data(and keeping your system drive clean and lean is a good thing).Ģ-How often do you really need to go back and forth between the 2 versions? At some point, PT10 is likely to be rarely used, so why use up all that valuable drive space on an old program(with all its old plugins).

Mine would be to use 2 separate hard drives and install 10 on one of them and 12 on the other. Important to note that i've tested it on reaper and it doesn't crash, so yeah pretty sure it's something related to s1.While this MAY work, I recommend a different approach. I've tried reinstalling SD3, relocating the libraries, reinstalling S1 but none of it worked. After some testing, im 99,9% sure it's Superior Drummer 3 causing them since I've had no issues at all in other projects without this vsti, which is problematic because it is really important for the music I do, to the point i'm considering switching to another DAW but I really want to give it another shot and fix it since i'm really comfortable with s1. I've tried disabling the bulk of processing to minimize cpu usage and crashes still happen.

No CPU overload or spikes, it happens at any point, be it scrolling around the project, editing some takes, etc. S1 just crashes randomly, I've been trying to find a pattern and if there's a specific action triggering the crash but apparently there's not.
